Heat hammer on Friday
In Vorarlberg, it will be sunny sometimes, while the first rain showers and thunderstorms are not far away. Elsewhere, the sun will dominate for the time being, but in the afternoon and evening, widespread and sometimes heavy thunderstorms are expected, especially in Vorarlberg up to the Waldviertel. The risk of thunderstorms is somewhat lower in the south and in the lowlands in the east. The wind will blow moderately to briskly, initially from the southeast to the southwest and later increasingly from the west. Temperatures in the morning will range between 15 and 23 degrees; during the day, there will be significant differences from west to east, with highs between 22 and 37 (!) degrees.

Saturday: The west and partly the north will be very cloudy at the beginning, with scattered rain showers and local thunderstorms. However, the sun will still be shining frequently in the east and southeast. In the afternoon, thunderstorms will also develop in Styria and Carinthia. The wind will remain moderate, occasionally brisk from south to west, in the foothills of the Alps and also from the north. Temperatures will be between 14 and 22 degrees in the early morning and between 20 and 32 degrees during the day.
Sunday: Any residual clouds from overnight showers or thunderstorms will clear quickly, and sunny weather will become widespread. The tendency for thunderstorms will also remain low in the mountains. The wind will blow weakly to moderately from the northwest to the northeast. Early temperatures will be between 12 and 20 degrees, with daily highs between 24 and 32 degrees.
